Living A Principled Lifestyle

Living a principled life could also mean rules or beliefs that an individual uses to govern his/her lifestyle. It guides our decision making all the time and define who and what we stand for. From my personal experiences and observations the journey to self developments is a very personal and  unique journey to every individual that are looking forward in holding on to the personal values that define our personality.

I recognized the importance of Living a principled lifestyle because it a strictly discipline and standards that allows us not to settling for less than what we know we deserve, choose the values that are important to us and making it to be part and parcel of us and never to be compromised.

According to Buki Olabiran, that says " there are two aspects to standards or principles: the first involves the ability to discern right from wrong, good from evil, politeness from rudeness; while the second involves the commitment and discipline to do what is right, good and proper, and further stated that, " the experience of living in a strict home provides an intuitive model for morals and principles. I used to think that the only part of the scripture that was 'spare the rod, spoil the child.' But looking back now, I am very grateful for those strict discipline and standards that constantly remind me that if I don't stand for something, I will fall for anything."

She further stated that, "there are also some homes that are not strict about principles and the offspring of such homes get easily influenced by any standard. So, living by personal standards or principled lifestyle is what makes a young person not to succumb to peer pressure no matter the situation."
